DAS SPEED Rim

At the heart of the DAS SPEED Modular Rim Ecosystem, the DAS SPEED Rim introduces a new approach to 1/28 scale wheel setup.

Unlike a conventional wheel where the offset and fitment are permanently built into the wheel, the DAS SPEED system separates the rim from the hub. This allows the same glued tire and rim assembly to be used with different hub and spacer configurations.

Change the offset — not the tire.

With offset adjustment available in precise 0.5 mm increments, racers can experiment with track width and handling while keeping the exact same tire. This removes one of the biggest variables when comparing wheel offsets: differences between separately prepared tires.

The rim has been purpose-designed for excellent concentricity and true running, helping minimize wheel wobble. The material and tire mounting surface have also been specifically selected and developed to provide excellent adhesion with CA tire glue, while making tire gluing straightforward and consistent.

Because the tire remains permanently glued to the rim, a proven tire can simply be transferred between compatible hub configurations rather than preparing and gluing the same tire compound onto multiple fixed-offset wheels.

The modular interface also allows the same tire/rim assembly to be used across compatible 2WD, AWD and Xbility differential configurations, simply by selecting the appropriate hub.
